The SPAASI identifies and meets professionals from various French-speaking countries. These exchanges give rise to new opportunities for artists, including participation in festivals and tours in performance hall networks. It also organizes the visit of European buyers at major events such as the FrancoFête en Acadie or the Congrès mondial acadien.
The Marc Chouinard prize
The exportation of artists is now organized on a principle of reciprocity: when an Acadian artist is invited by an international partner festival, it seems important to us to invite an artist in exchange, which stimulates creation and generates new business opportunities for everyone. This is the principle behind the Prix-Marc-Chouinard which rewards young foreign talents. It allows to :
- create business opportunities for the winning artists in target markets through significant exposure
- offer an incredible experience to artists through recognized experiential training: experiences with a different audience, meetings and networking opportunities with professionals (agents in particular), as well as opportunities for creation and co-creation with artists premises
- serves as a springboard for the international career of artists and recognition in Canada through the prestige of selected international festivals
- forge strong working and friendship links for professionals working with partner festivals
The Marc-Chouinard prize is partned with...
