The Francofête en Acadie
The SPAASI organizes the international component of the Francofête en Acadie. This component has been the flagship event for the export of Acadian artists for nearly 20 years. On the program: professional meetings with the international delegation, showcases, networking activities and training.The convivial spirit that reigns in Acadie is undeniable. By inviting its international delegates to the Francofête en Acadie, SPAASI guarantees a smooth experience filled with authenticity, simplicity and discoveries.
The international aspect of the Francofête en Acadie in numbers
2019-2020:- 400 one-to-one meetings between presenters and artists
- 51 showcases / 31 Acadian showcases / 6 international Acadian showcases with nearly 200 professional national and international spectators
- 20 international delegates welcomed and housed with Acadians in Moncton and Dieppe for 5 days
- 6 scholarships awarded to 3 Acadian artists and 3 European artists as part of the exchange principle
